Safety Precautions

Before installation, read all safety instructions carefully to prevent injury and property damage.

Unpacking and Inspection

Carefully unpack and verify all components are present and undamaged.

  5. Clean interior drum with damp cloth before first use

Location Requirements

  2. Maintain 1-inch clearance on sides and back
  3. Provide 6-inch clearance in front for door opening
  4. Keep away from heat sources and direct sunlight
  5. Ensure adequate ventilation space around unit

CAUTION! Do not install in areas with temperature below 45°F or above 100°F.

Electrical Connection

Proper electrical connection is critical for safe operation.

Venting Installation

Proper venting ensures efficient drying and prevents fire hazards.

  1. Use rigid metal ducting (aluminum or galvanized steel)
  2. Keep vent run as short and straight as possible
  3. Maximum vent length: 35 feet (subtract 5 feet for each elbow)
  4. Secure all joints with metal foil tape (no screws)
  5. Install exterior vent hood with backdraft damper

Tip: Avoid plastic or flexible foil vent materials.

Leveling and Stabilization

Proper leveling prevents vibration and ensures quiet operation.

  1. Place level on top of dryer
  2. Adjust front leveling legs until unit is level side-to-side and front-to-back
  3. Check that all four feet contact floor firmly
  4. Test for stability by gently rocking unit
  5. Tighten lock nuts on leveling legs

CAUTION! Unlevel installation may cause excessive noise and vibration.

Initial Setup and Testing

Complete final setup and perform operational test.

  1. Connect power cord to dedicated outlet
  2. Install lint filter and ensure proper seating
  3. Select test cycle (Normal Dry, Medium heat)
  4. Run empty cycle for 15 minutes to burn off manufacturing residues
  5. Check for proper heating, tumbling, and venting
  6. Verify all controls and displays function correctly
